devos102208 – “love God, love People”

Genesis 47-48; Luke 3-4; Psalm 22; Proverbs 22 (The Message)

God’s Message: Trust God. What was forcefully taken away from Joseph in the beginning, was given back to him, much better then he had left it. Joseph loved his family, he asked about them, and probably thought about them often. God restored his family to him.

God’s Promise: God can bless your family, through you. As his family came down, they were given the best land, the best fields. If they were skilled in their craft, they were put in charge of pharaoh’s own flocks.

b. Diligence in their craft would have payed off BIG TIME, at this moment.

God’s Command: Love God, with EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT… and love people with EVERYTHING THAT YOU’VE GOT

God guards knowledge with a passion,
but he’ll have nothing to do with deception.

Observe people who are good at their work—
skilled workers are always in demand and admired;
they don’t take a backseat to anyone.

God’s Warning: Being moved by God was hard, I had to fight my parents, my old pastors, breaking mindsets, and old traditions. But now, I’m up against the fight of my life. My character…

Starting to see what and who Zeke really is, and sometimes it’s not pretty. That God would shape and mold me into the person that He wants me to be.

Personal Ap: I may have felt, that I gave up a great career, good pay within a field that I love, but I gave it up for God… and I don’t regret that for one second. The life that I’m living now, is a blessing, and something that I’ve always wanted.

If God sees it necessary, he might bring that career/technology back to me. He doesn’t have to, and I doesn’t matter if he doesn’t. But I have to be diligent in my craft, working as hard as I can EVERY DAY.
